Titanium Jewelery

how do you cut titanum wire for making jewelery?
hello I am currently planing on buying titanium for making my earwires and I have heard it is ver hard, might een damage my cutters, is there any one out there who has used titanium wire for making jewelery?
if so what do you use for cutting your wire and how dose it affect your tools?
If you are using very sharp edged cutters that work so nicely on copper and silver, don’t do them on titanium. If you have snips that handle steel or especially music wire or stainless steel, then the first answer applies – I don’t have experience with titanium, but I wonder if he has experience with soft metal snips used by jewelers? However, this http://www.swordforum.com/metallurgy/titanium.html says that pure titanium is quite soft and even alloyed titanium has hardness problems, so it is likely to be okay.
